USAF Africa, also known as United States Air Forces Africa, is a Unified Combatant Command within the United States Department of Defense. It is responsible for all U.S. Air Force operations and activities on the African continent, reporting to both U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) and United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). The command’s mission includes conducting air operations, providing air mobility, and supporting theater security cooperation efforts in Africa. Its headquarters are located at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, with additional regional sites across the continent. USAF Africa collaborates closely with partner nations to promote stability, peace, and security in Africa through capacity building, humanitarian aid, and disaster response operations.
