The U.S. 103rd Infantry Division is a major formation of the United States Army. It was initially activated during World War II and has since been deactivated and reactivated several times, lastly in 2015 as part of the United States Army Force Structure realignment. The division saw service in significant campaigns such as Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe, and the Cold War. It is primarily tasked with conducting combined-arms ground combat operations in support of U.S. Army Europe’s theater campaign plans. The division is headquartered at Vicenza, Italy. Its soldiers are a part of the NATO Response Force and serve under the U.S. Army Europe’s Regional Command North.
