We offer for sale a large vase, 53.5 cm high, perfect for use as an umbrella stand as well as decorative ceramic. Made in East Germany and datable between the 60s and 70s, this large vintage vase is part of the vast production of Pottery made in those years in Germany with the Fat Lava technique. On a chocolate brown ceramic base, glazes in Earthy Thone such as beige, ivory white and drops of very dark brown drip like lava that blend together and leave almost only the base of the vase exposed. The ceramic surface obtained with the drippings has a semi-opaque finish and a rough texture that makes the essential and elegant design more interesting. The item is intact and in good vintage condition, it shows minimal signs of use and time.
