ORIGIN Klostermhle PERIOD Late nineteenth century, very early twentieth century BRAND LOETZ one of the most famous art glassworks in history, famous for its Art Nouveau style glass, characterized by iridescent colors and organic shapes. Founded in the 19th century in what is now the Czech Republic, Loetz has left an indelible mark on the history of glass design. The history of Loetz began in 1836, when Johann Eisner purchased a glass factory in Klostermhle (today Kltersk Mln, in the Czech Republic).
