He was a painter, illustrator, caricaturist, also a prolific and innovative printmaker, particularly in intaglio.Eroticism mixed with mortality and evil themes is one of the most prominent aspects of her work. He is best known for his graphic works, many of which are horror or erotic. Rupes was educated in Brussels.
