Height: 8.7 cm Diameter : 7.7 cm (base) Weight: 460 g Adolf Matura was a great influence in Czechoslovakian pressed glass. Matura was primarily glass artist. His work is connected with rugged shapes, pearl decor and figural motives. In the beginning his designs were moderate and simple. Later he added ornamental and structural forms. He became famous thanks to iconic set Prague with pearl decor, based on the wave of decorativism in seventies. Matura liked figurative work. Among his designs you can find one of the best vases, vase with two faces, which is greatly appreciated by collectors of pressed glass. MATURA (1921-1979)
