Couple of signed dishes Atelier Cerenne, made towards the second half of the twentieth century in France. In each of them, with a Nave and Picassian trend, the silhouettes of two fish are represented through simple, white and incised lines that stand out on the black background. This abstract, bold and evocative design can be attached, thanks, in addition, to the red, blue, yellow and green notes. Charles Rene Neveux founded Atelier Cerenne in 1945 and was active until 1958 when it was sold. The workshop was better known for small and high -end production series.
Vallauris was a potter who experienced great growth in the mid -nineteenth century thanks to the arrival of the railroad. It ended up consecrating as a ceramic focus with the arrival of post -impression and modern post painters, such as Chagall or Picasso, who sought in the eastern and primitive their source of inspiration. At the moment, the big factories arises, and with them, a true industrial and commercial organization in terms of ceramic production.
