Exquisite porcelain inkwell painted by hand with pink floral decoration in seat and eaves with 24k gold edge, characteristic favorite reason of Count Albert Apponyi.
The porcelain presents the purest characteristics of the famous manufacture of Herend, located in Budapest, known and valued worldwide for its outstanding history and exquisite material. The firm’s foundation dates back to 1826, when Vince Stingl founded a factory in Herend, imposing the exquisite creation techniques with which he had formed in Vienna. That was how an important trade specialized in the luxurious porcelain decorated and gilded by hand began.
In the nineteenth century Herend became the most prominent supplier of real dynasties such as Habsburg and also the most select aristocratic public. Since then, all its creations are admired, quoted and highly valued.
This inkwell is an example of opulence, elegance and sophistication that only Herend can contribute.
