The 9th Information Warfare Flight is a specialized unit within the United States Air Force. It primarily focuses on Information Warfare, a relatively new domain of warfare that involves the use of information and cyber-enabled capabilities to destroy, deny, corrupt, or usurp an adversary’s decision cycle while protecting our own. This unit supports U.S. Central Command and its coalition partners in executing cyberspace operations across the full spectrum of conflict to ensure freedom of action in cyberspace and negate an adversary’s ability to act in this domain. The 9th IWF operates under Air Combat Command’s Air Forces Cyber (AFCYBER) organization, which is responsible for conducting full-spectrum global cyberspace operations in support of U.S. national interests.
