The wing’s primary mission is to conduct fighter operations with the F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft. Established in 1947 as the 125th Fighter Group, it has a rich history of serving the United States, participating in both domestic and overseas missions. The 125th Fighter Wing also provides air defense for the state of Pennsylvania under the Air National Guard’s Air Defense Agencies.
