Chocolate teapot in the end Porcelain de Paris; The object whose shape, linear and elegant, remembers the English Victorian period; It was made much more refined and rich by valuable and elaborate floral decorations in handmade zecchino gold; Even the edges, the handle, the knob and the whole spout have linear gold decorations; It was carried out by master artisans between 1870 and 1875 in Napoleon III style in compliance with ancient traditions and the raw material (Kaolin), “Porcelain de Paris” is a term that relates to the various laboratories and studies of porcelain decoration Inside and in the surroundings of Paris, France. It is not the name of any single company or manufacturer and is usually applied to artisan objects of excellent product invoices between the middle and the end of the nineteenth century. Normally the “Porcelain de Paris” is not signed but, sometimes, it has embossed brands on the bottom of the piece or numbers brushed by hand that identify it. The producers are in some cases anonymous and generally unknown or have only created a few and rare pieces. The ancient porcelain objects of Paris are the most desired by collectors and are present in many museums around the world. In the reigning period of Napoleon III (1852-1870) there is a real revival of past styles such as the first empire, but eclecticism that marked the period, made it more graceful, refined and elegant by inserting neogothic, neorinascial elements and Oriental; Our chocolate belt belongs to this aesthetic current. The chocolate can be in good condition, but the spout has a repair (see photo) Furthermore in some parts the zecchino gold appears consumed, but this makes the object much more fascinating and historically interesting.
