The VII Corps (United States Army) is a corps-level formation of the U.S. Army, part of the United States Army Europe and Africa (USAREUR-AF). It was established in 1943 during World War II and has since been involved in several significant military operations including the Normandy invasion, the Battle of the Bulge, the Cold War, and more recently, Operation Iraqi Freedom. The VII Corps is composed of multiple divisions and independent brigades, with its headquarters located in Wiesbaden, Germany. It provides a rapid, joint, multinational response capability to U.S., allied, and coalition forces within the European theater.
