The 130th Rescue Squadron’s history dates back to World War II, where it initially served as a B-24 Liberator bomber squadron before transitioning into its current role. Throughout its tenure, the squadron has participated in numerous conflicts and humanitarian missions, including Vietnam, Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom.
