The 358th Fighter Squadron is a military unit within the United States Air Force. It was first established during World War II as part of the 361st Fighter Group, with P-47 Thunderbolt aircraft. In 1944, it transitioned to P-51 Mustangs and saw action in Europe. After the war, the squadron was deactivated but was reactivated during the Korean War and later the Vietnam War. Today, the 358th Fighter Squadron is assigned to the 354th Fighter Wing at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, where it operates the F-16 Fighting Falcon.
