The 307th Bomb Wing is a unit of the United States Air Force (USAF) based at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. Established on July 1, 1952, it operates under Air Force Global Strike Command’s Eighth Air Force. The wing primarily employs the B-1B Lancer bomber and provides strategic bombing capabilities worldwide. The 307th Bomb Wing is one of only three active-duty Air Force wings that operate the B-1B, a long-range, multi-role bomber capable of delivering both conventional and nuclear weapons. The wing’s mission includes global power projection, counter-terrorism operations, and providing combat support during contingency or wartime scenarios.
