The 476 Fighter Group AFRC (U.S. Air Force) is a unit within the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC). This group specializes in fighter operations, primarily using the F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft. Established in 1995, the 476 FG operates out of Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. The primary mission of the unit is air defense and homeland security support, as well as participation in domestic and international exercises to enhance combat readiness and interoperability with other air forces. The group’s motto is “Defending Freedom.”
